iPad Program - Years 7, 8 and 9

Girls in Years 7, 8 and 9 are expected to have an Apple iPad for school use. The iPads are used as personal learning devices providing the necessary tools to access anywhere, anytime learning. These devices will allow access to online resources throughout their classes including images, animations, video material, teacher-prepared learning resources eBooks and digital text books. Through specialist applications (apps) the devices will support a range of learning strategies used throughout the day such as note-taking, brainstorming, problem solving, inquiring, collaborating, creating and managing resources.

The design and extended battery life will enable students to easily transport all their learning needs in a compact and organised way for the entire school day without the need to recharge. The iPad's 'instant on' capacity, ease-of-use, portability and small desktop footprint make them an ideal choice as a 21st Century learning tool.

Families will provide their daughters with an Apple iPad for school-related use. Please see the minimum system requirements for instructions on the types of iPads that are suitable. Families will provide solid cases and will be responsible for the ongoing care and maintenance of the devices.
